Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Training
AUSTIN NARI - The Central Texas Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry is Hosting RRP Training Certification.
Lunch is NOT included; there are several excellent restaurants nearby.

PAID registrations will be accepted on a first-come basis. Registration without payment does NOT guarantee your spot in the class. Registration and payment are transferrable, but CANNOT BE REFUNDED.

WHO DOES THE RRP APPLY TO?
The RRP rule affects paid contractors who work in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities, including:
- Renovation and remodeling contractors
- Maintenance workers in multi-family housing and rental properties
- Painters and other specialty trades
- The RRP requirements apply to renovation, repair, window replacement, interim control, weatherization and/or painting activities
WHY DO YOU NEED TO BE TRAINED?
Beginning October 1st, 2010, federal law will require renovation contractors to be certified as Renovation Firms, to use lead-safe work practices, and to have a certified Renovator at the job site during the lead work.
WHO HAS TO BE TRAINED?
Only one certified Renovator is required to be on the job site during the lead work and the certified Renovator can train the other workers in lead safe work practices, unless work is completed under the Lead Safe Housing Rule (LSHR).

Wagner Consultant Group (WCG) is an environmental consulting firm located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolis area of Texas. WCG has the resources and experienced personnel to address a broad range of environmental concerns, and to provide cost-effective consulting services to our valued clients.
Mr. Wagner has over twenty five years of experience in the construction industry. He managed a three year three million dollar grant for lead remediation for the City of Fort Worth. This is the second three year three million dollar grant awarded for this activity that he has oversight. Projects have included interim controls on smaller projects to lead abatement for larger projects. He has oversight of six contractors to perform lead remediation.
Since the year 2000, Housing Urban Development (HUD) requires houses that receive federal funding to address lead based paint in pre 1978 house. He has participated in over 1400 homes being made lead safe.
Since the start of Wagner Consultant Group, Mr. Wagner has participated in and conducted the management of projects related to lead based paint. He has designed projects, evaluated environmental conditions, and performed inspections and assessments; in addition he has conducted project management for lead abatement projects.
Prior to starting Wagner Consultant Group, Mr. Wagner had over twenty five years in the remodeling and building industry. His construction experience included the management and oversight of subcontractors. Supervising all aspects of construction and repair work in progress and performed final inspection for compliance with scope of work. His experience has a general contractor has added value to his ability to provide training from a construction perspective.
Mr. Wagner has a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University. Has extensive training in environmental remediation and restoration. He currently is a lead risk assessor and has performed and supervised assessment over hundreds of units. He is a certified lead supervisor and lead project designer by the State of Texas Department of Health.
